bring true blue
collared honky-tonk music back to the forefront of the Texas music revolution.
They are making a name for themselves by coupling Texas blues/rock with gritty
true-life lyrics and electric stage presence, and then main-line injecting it
into their patented vintage “Outlaw” country sound.
are a local
phenomenon who are a force to be reckoned with in the Texas Music movement. Ray
Diffee, backed by veteran musicians and local heroes Jeff Rogers on bass, Chip
Woodburn playing lead guitar and long time friend Martin McLemore on drums, have
found the Outlaw sound thought long lost in today’s country music. Based out of
Keller, TX, they have proven their worth at every venue, not only by packing the
house on a consistent basis, but also by promoting the venue during their sets
and encouraging the audience to actively participate in the show, whether it be
through walking off stage and playing in the audience, prompting sing-a-longs or
toasting drinks with the crowd. Their success has earned them the opportunity
to share the stage with the likes of Cooder Graw, Honeybrowne, Back Porch Mary,
The Derailers, 1100 Springs, and Two Tons of Steel, with other, larger acts in
negotiation.
have a musical
concoction that encompasses four parts Country, one part
Southern Rock, one part Texas Blues, and three parts Outlaw with a splash of
attitude. Their songs “Nothing to Show,” “Karma's a Bitch” and “Hank Williams”
reflect the influence of the late Waylon Jennings, while “Not the Fool,” "The
Brazos River Blues" and “The Ballad of Bill and Sue” show the bands Rock and
Blues roots at its best.
along with an
arsenal of original songs, also cover Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Chuck
Berry, Robert Earl Keen, Jr., Hank Williams, Hank Williams III, Steve Earle and
The Dukes, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Billy Joe Shaver (just to name a few), ensuring
that new fans will hear a familiar song and that a rockin' good time is had by
all.
have caught
lightning in a bottle, proving that they have the staying power to accompany
their own brand of Outlaw music that any listener can identify with.
